DevSecOps Engineer

Role Overview

Join Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Pilot Training Devices (PTD) team to build and maintain DevSecOps capabilities for simulation and training software. You will design CI/CD pipelines, containerize applications, automate deployments, and help ensure security and compliance throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps.
• Containerize applications with Docker and Podman for portability and scalability.
• Build automation scripts in Python, Bash, and PowerShell to streamline deployment and operational workflows.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate code changes into CI/CD pipelines with quality and consistency.
• Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues, including debugging and performance optimization.
• Integrate security scanning into the pipeline and manage vulnerabilities.
• Create and maintain documentation for pipeline architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain or hold an Interim Secret security clearance (and a Secret clearance with recent investigation/CV within the last five years).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience developing, debugging, and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with containerization: Docker and Podman.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, and PowerShell.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience writing Ansible playbooks.
• Master’s degree.
• Advanced proficiency in GitLab CI/CD configurations (job artifacts, dependency management).
• Experience with GitLab Runners installation and management.
• Strong understanding of security and vulnerability management.
