About the role
Role overview
SuperPlane is hiring its first DevRel Content Creator (remote). You’ll turn the team’s product work into high-quality video and technical content and build an authentic community presence.
What you’ll own
Video content (primary)
- Create screencasts, product walkthroughs, and video demos showing SuperPlane in action.
- Comfortable on camera and able to produce polished content solo without a production team.
Technical content
- Develop working use cases and publish them as blog posts, tutorials, and guides.
- Flow: explore the product → build a real workflow → write it up → convert it into a video.
Community presence
- Act as SuperPlane’s voice in Discord, Reddit, Hacker News, and relevant DevOps Slack groups.
- Welcome new users, answer questions, and surface discussions in a natural, non-salesy way.
Events (occasional)
- Represent SuperPlane at conferences/meetups a few times per year.
What success looks like (first 6 months)
- Weekly publishing cadence (written content + videos).
- Content driving meaningful traffic and signups from organic search and social shares.
- Active, visible community presence.
- A growing library of use-case demos usable by sales and product.
Requirements
- DevOps or platform engineering background.
- Experience with deployments, CI pipelines, and tools such as Terraform and/or Kubernetes.
- Ability to write working code and create tutorials with real, runnable examples (e.g., staging environments, Lambda, working pipelines).
- Strong product/workflow intuition; think in workflows and use cases.
- Self-directed and curious; identify content opportunities independently.
- Ability to produce video content solo (good tools, solid execution).
- Daily use of AI tools for drafting/review and prototyping.
- Comfortable working asynchronously in a distributed team.
Nice to have
- Deep familiarity with LLM-based workflows (coding agents, AI-assisted prototyping) as part of content or workflow development.
Logistics
- Remote-first with support for co-working costs.
- Timezone window: GMT-5 to GMT+3 (US East Coast through Europe).
