DevOps Manager

Role overview

Join Bitcoin Depot as a DevOps Manager to lead the DevOps team and manage the company’s cloud infrastructure. You’ll drive reliability, scalability, and the delivery of platform infrastructure, including migrating applications and services to AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the DevOps team and oversee cloud infrastructure operations
• Drive migration of applications/services from other cloud providers to AWS
• Collaborate with Software Engineering, IT Operations, and Security teams
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with engineering teams
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Ensure secure infrastructure aligned with AWS best practices
• Handle emergency issues with out-of-hours availability
• Produce technical documentation and architecture designs

Requirements

• Terraform IaC scripting experience
• 2+ years working with AWS (required)
• Experience with ECS clusters and Docker containers
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize workloads with critical deadlines
• Experience working with Linux (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux 2 preferred)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions
• Working knowledge of network/security concepts such as VPC, subnets, and ACL/port/firewall settings based on least access

Nice to have

• 3+ years managing a DevOps team
• AWS SysOps / DevOps / Solution Architect Associate certification (preferred)
• Experience designing secure infrastructure using the AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Relevant degree/diploma in Information Systems (desired)
