About the role
Role Overview
Fimple is looking for DevOps Engineers to help build and operate a next-generation, cloud-native core banking platform. The role focuses on scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure that supports Fimple’s global operations.
Responsibilities
- Partner with development, QA, and product teams to support SDLC and release lifecycle.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve enterprise DevOps architecture.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines across development, testing, and production environments.
- Configure, manage, and improve Kubernetes-based environments using orchestration tools.
- Deploy and maintain Redis, Kafka, MinIO with a focus on high availability and performance.
- Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Define and improve DevOps workflows, deployment strategies, and release processes.
- Participate in incident management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Apply observability best practices (monitoring, logging, alerting) and monitor system performance.
- Implement security controls, run vulnerability assessments, and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate to foster a strong DevOps culture, and continuously evaluate new technologies.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related technical roles.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
- Ability to read technical documentation in English and produce SDLC-related documentation.
- Working knowledge of modern DevOps tools and cloud ecosystems.
- Hands-on containerization: Docker and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD experience with GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
- Linux/Unix proficiency and scripting with Bash, Python, or Go.
- Experience managing/scaling Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, MinIO in production.
- Experience validating software releases/pipelines/infrastructure components.
- Experience with at least one public cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of security and vulnerability assessment for cloud-native environments.
- Ownership mindset and strong collaboration skills in a remote, fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with orchestration/cluster management tools such as Rancher or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging/alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
