About the role

Role Overview

DevOps Engineer at Xformative Payment Systems. You will support software development by building efficient deployment processes, automation, and infrastructure management, ensuring reliable, secure operations in a cloud-native fintech environment.

Responsibilities

Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native, distributed, serverless architecture
Build automation, observability, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)
Maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments to reduce developer friction
Create secure automation for development, testing, and production (in partnership with SecOps)
Apply system hardening and configuration management best practices
Improve system reliability through automation, monitoring, and operational practices
Support knowledge sharing within the engineering team
Work with a cross-functional engineering team and participate in an on-call rotation
Operate according to company policies and perform additional duties as needed

Requirements

Strong programming skills: Node.js and TypeScript
Automation experience with tools like GitHub Actions and Serverless
Knowledge of AWS monitoring/logging: Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail
Ability to maintain and deploy highly available, fault-tolerant systems at scale
Strong attention to detail and preference for structured procedures
3+ years large-scale distributed systems experience
3+ years DevOps experience
CI/CD experience (e.g., GitHub Actions, also mentions Jenkins)
AWS experience with managed services (e.g., AWS Lambda, ECS, SNS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon CloudWatch)
Familiarity with control plane architecture and supporting multiple AWS accounts/organizations
Strong incident response skills (detection, investigation, containment, recovery)
Willingness to participate in shared security incident on-call
U.S. work authorization

Nice-to-haves

Fintech experience or regulated environments with compliance requirements such as SOC 2 and PCI DSS
Background supporting security incidents and complex cloud-native environments
