Role Overview

Xformative is hiring a DevOps Engineer to support software development through deployment automation and infrastructure management. The role bridges development and operations, improving delivery efficiency, system reliability, and operational workflows.

Responsibilities

Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native, distributed, serverless architectures.
Build automation, observability, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments to reduce developer friction.
Implement secure automation for development, testing, and production.
Apply system hardening and configuration management best practices with the SecOps team.
Improve reliability using automation, monitoring, and operational best practices.
Drive knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
Participate in rotating on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

Strong programming skills: Node and TypeScript.
Proficiency with automation tools such as GitHub Actions and serverless.
Knowledge of AWS monitoring/logging, including Amazon CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
Experience maintaining and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant systems at scale.
Drive to automate repetitive tasks.
AWS expertise including IAM, VPC, and ECS.
CI/CD experience (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodeBuild).
NoSQL database experience such as Amazon DynamoDB.
IaC experience (e.g., Terraform, Serverless Framework, AWS CloudFormation).
Strong communication skills.
Authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications & Nice-to-Haves

Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering or equivalent experience.
3+ years distributed systems development.
3+ years DevOps experience.
Fintech experience or regulated environment experience with compliance needs (e.g., SOC 2, PCI DSS).
Familiarity with control plane architecture supporting multiple AWS accounts/organizations.
Strong incident response across detection, investigation, containment, and recovery in complex cloud-native environments.
Willingness to participate in shared on-call for security incidents.
