About the role

Role Overview

WalkMe is hiring a DevOps Engineer to join its Cloud Engineering team. This role supports WalkMe’s Federal business and contributes to building the company’s runtime engine and improving the online experience for large-scale enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve deployment pipelines to enable smooth, efficient software releases.
  • Implement and maintain observability for system performance, reliability, and monitoring.
  • Support local development environments to improve developer workflows.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with project requirements.
  • Contribute to infrastructure security through proactive measures and audits.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts/tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues to minimize downtime.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance scalability, reliability, and security.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven software development experience (venture-backed startup or top tech firm preferred).
  • Strong experience managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (e.g., GitLab).
  • Proficiency with AWS.
  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience managing databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of security best practices for infrastructure and applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.

Constraints / Additional Notes

  • US Citizenship is required (Federal business support).
  • Will require working Sundays as needed, with an additional day off during the week.

  • Hybrid work arrangement (combining remote benefits with onsite collaboration).
