DevOps Engineer

Role overview

WalkMe is hiring a DevOps Engineer to join its Cloud Engineering team. The role supports the Federal business and helps build and operate the company’s cloud runtime engine and infrastructure for millions of users.

What you’ll own

• Manage deployment pipelines to enable smooth, efficient software releases
• Implement and maintain observability to monitor performance and reliability
• Support local development environments to improve developer workflows
• Partner with development teams so infrastructure matches project requirements
• Improve infrastructure security through proactive measures and audits
• Build and maintain automation scripts/tools to increase operational efficiency
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues to minimize downtime
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve scalability, reliability, and security

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years in a DevOps/SRE or similar role
• Strong software development experience (preferably venture-backed startup or top tech firm)
• Experience managing CI/CD and deployment automation using GitLab
• AWS proficiency
• Containerization & orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Observability tools experience with Datadog and/or Prometheus/Grafana
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or MongoDB
• Knowledge of security best practices for infrastructure and applications
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Clear communication and effective collaboration
• Proactive/self-motivated learning and continuous improvement mindset

Additional requirements / notes

• US Citizenship required (Federal business support)
• Sunday work as needed, with ability to take another day off that week
