DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer at VRIZE, you will support an enterprise e-commerce environment by designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and tooling that help development teams build, deploy, and operate applications efficiently and securely.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform.
• Cloud reliability & security: Ensure security, availability, and performance of cloud infrastructure.
• CI/CD automation: Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment.
• Collaboration: Work with development teams to ensure smooth service deployment and operations.
• Monitoring & troubleshooting: Monitor systems and troubleshoot performance or operational issues.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for DevOps processes and procedures.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Architecture reviews: Participate in architecture and design reviews to enforce best practices.
• Continuous improvement: Improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency of the infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software development and DevOps/operations.
• AWS cloud services experience.
• Strong IaC skills (e.g., Terraform).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with ArgoCD.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices and security tools.
• Monitoring/logging experience with tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to estimate cost/effort for technical features.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting e-commerce platforms.
• Familiarity with managed cloud services and serverless architectures.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
