DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

Exempt (salaried) DevOps Engineer on the Infrastructure team. You will bridge software development and IT operations, focusing on:

• Modernizing and owning the CI/CD pipeline, including migrating from on-prem to AWS
• Supporting SQA by provisioning, configuring, and maintaining QA test environments

The role is a hybrid stack since the software runs in both Windows and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, improve, and modernize the Jenkins-based CI/CD pipeline
• Lead migration of the CI/CD pipeline from on-prem infrastructure to AWS
• Maintain build servers, container images, and related infrastructure components
• Diagnose and resolve build, deployment, and upgrade issues across the pipeline and at client sites
• Integrate into the pipeline: static analysis, code signing, cybersecurity vulnerability scans, SBOM generation, automated tests, and stakeholder notifications
• Provision, configure, harden, and maintain SQA test environments
• Deploy software into SQA environments and troubleshoot environment-related issues
• Collaborate with development, SQA, Cloud Services, and Technical Solutions to align on standards and best practices
• Contribute to development tasks when capacity and priorities allow

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and best practices
• Proficiency in PowerShell and/or other scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Intermediate knowledge of security and networking
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, S3, ECS, IAM
• Demonstrable ability to apply best practices to CI/CD and environment builds
• Working understanding of AI and AI coding assistants
• Experience with both Windows and Linux (including basic system administration)
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills

Nice to Have

• 5+ years DevOps experience
• Familiarity with Jenkins and GitLab; experience with artifact management and multi-pipeline orchestration
• Experience with WiXSharp/WiX installers and package managers
• Experience with .NET build tooling (MSBuild, dotnet CLI) and NuGet package management
• Experience supporting enterprise-wide build environments
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (e.g., Terraform)
