About the role
Role: DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure)
Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud-native applications and infrastructure, primarily on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Translate architecture and product requirements into reliable, scalable infrastructure.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable high-velocity delivery (including AI initiatives).
- Establish and standardize deployment processes and environment promotion/rollout practices.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Ensure operational excellence via observability, monitoring, and incident management.
- Troubleshoot production issues, maintain documentation/runbooks, and research modernization options.
- Collaborate closely with architecture, engineering, and product teams to enhance security controls and support seamless production rollouts.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in DevOps or platform engineering supporting production systems on AWS.
- Ability to code/script for automation and reliable deployments.
- Strong AWS services knowledge: ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, SQS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, OpenSearch.
- Expert Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Container/orchestration experience: Docker, ECR, ECS, Kubernetes/EKS.
- CI/CD proficiency: Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions (including shared templates and multi-environment deployments).
- GitOps experience using Argo CD.
- Relational database knowledge (e.g., SQL Server).
- Web/app framework familiarity: React and TypeScript.
- Observability/monitoring tools: New Relic, Datadog, CloudWatch.
- Logging/search platforms: OpenSearch/Elasticsearch/Kibana.
- Web/app infrastructure components: NGINX, IIS, API Gateway.
- OS support: Linux and Windows Server.
- Strong version control, release automation, continuous integration, and troubleshooting skills.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience supporting client product implementations and production rollouts.
