About the role
Role Overview
You will be a DevOps Engineer working fully remotely to build, automate, and manage scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You’ll collaborate with development, QA, and operations to improve reliability, performance, and release efficiency using modern DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security
- Manage containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement root-cause fixes
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth, reliable releases
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and operational processes
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering / similar roles
- Strong Linux/Unix experience
- Hands-on CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Cloud proficiency: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible
- Monitoring familiarity: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
- Strong Git/version control workflows
- Problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Haves
- Scripting: Python or Bash
- Networking, security, and cloud best practices
- Exposure to microservices and cloud-native architectures
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
