About the role

Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer at Stakefish, you will help build and maintain blockchain networks and protocols. You’ll improve infrastructure with a focus on security, automation, and monitoring, and also support testnets and next-generation blockchain protocol exploration.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain secure, reliable infrastructure to monitor, detect, and mitigate performance and security issues.
Perform Linux system administration to ensure routine, proactive management of health, stability, and availability.
Create and maintain system documentation (procedural and technical).
Stay current with and apply peer-to-peer networking security best practices.
Create and maintain threat models and risk assessments for systems in scope.

Requirements

Experience as a DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure Engineer.
Programming ability in one or more of: Python, Go, Bash, JavaScript.
Experience managing high-availability server infrastructures.
Experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
Experience operating software in data centers and cloud environments.
Strong understanding of sockets, the full networking stack, and Linux security.
Knowledge of automation and CI/CD processes and tools.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (and other cloud deployment technologies).
Strong collaboration skills; comfortable working in ambiguity, taking initiative, and executing despite unknowns.

Nice to Have

Understanding of the blockchain space and blockchain technology.
Knowledge of cryptography and security best practices.
Contributions to open source communities.
