DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

Senior DevOps Engineer (Remote) — Contract. Minimum 10+ years of experience. Focus areas include CI/CD automation, DevOps tooling, and enterprise middleware platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and YAML workflows
• Develop automation frameworks and reusable workflows
• Write and maintain build/deployment scripts in Shell/Bash, Python, and PowerShell
• Manage and automate middleware platforms:
  • WebLogic 12c / 14c
  • JBoss 7.4 / 8.1
• Automate deployments, patching, and provisioning
• Troubleshoot build and deployment issues
• Partner with Dev and QA teams to support releases
• Ensure security and compliance practices are followed

Requirements

• Strong DevOps tooling experience, specifically GitHub Actions with YAML workflows
• Mandatory scripting skills: Shell/Bash
• CI/CD and release management understanding
• Middleware expertise with WebLogic and JBoss
• Ability to troubleshoot pipelines and deployments

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure experience (AKS, App Services, Azure DevOps)
• Docker / Kubernetes
• Infrastructure automation: Terraform and/or ARM templates
