About the role
Role Overview
DevOps Engineer responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining high-availability infrastructure that supports a rapidly growing microservices ecosystem. You will bridge software development and systems engineering to ensure production workloads run reliably across cloud environments, with automation focused on reducing manual intervention and improving uptime and developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and scale multi-region Kubernetes clusters on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform)
- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- Implement centralized observability: logging, metrics, and distributed tracing using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog
- Build automated failover, disaster recovery, and backup validation to meet SLAs
- Partner with security teams on IAM least privilege, container security scanning, and secret management with HashiCorp Vault
- Participate in an on-call rotation: diagnose/mitigate production incidents and run post-mortems
Requirements
- 3–6 years experience in DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering supporting production workloads at scale
- Strong production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Deep expertise with IaC, specifically Terraform (or similar like Pulumi)
- Solid programming/scripting skills in at least one language, preferably Python, Go, or Bash
- Hands-on experience with core AWS services including VPC, IAM, EKS, RDS, and Route53
Nice to Have
- Experience with Istio (service meshes)
- Multi-cloud deployments
- Managing large-scale PostgreSQL and Redis databases
