About the role

Role Overview

DevOps Engineer to drive DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering initiatives at a growing RegTech SaaS company. You will design and improve automated deployment processes, build infrastructure as code, and help ensure reliability, scalability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain automated deployment and configuration management systems
Build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) for provisioning and infrastructure resource management
Continuously optimize deployment processes for efficiency and reliability
Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging for service reliability and availability
Collaborate to define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs)
Conduct blameless post-incident reviews and help create error budgets
Influence system design with engineering teams for scalability, reliability, and performance
Design and implement high-availability systems
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with automated testing integrated into the deployment process
Partner with security teams to implement and monitor security best practices
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and infrastructure/deployment regulations
Perform capacity planning and address performance bottlenecks with development teams
Maintain documentation, including runbooks and knowledge base articles
Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
8+ years of DevOps experience, with a focus on Site Reliability Engineering (or equivalent education/experience)
Strong IaC fundamentals for highly available, fault-tolerant, scalable infrastructure
Strong CI/CD pipeline experience, including testing, integration, and deployment automation
Experience managing cloud and on-prem infrastructure with performance, scalability, cost optimization, and security/compliance
Ability to create and maintain clear infrastructure/process documentation
Ability to provide reporting on system health, performance, and cost-efficiency metrics
Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet regular attendance expectations and tight deadlines
