DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

DevOps Engineer (Mobile-First) for a remote, direct-hire opportunity. This is a hands-on, greenfield DevOps position focused on building (not maintaining) modern cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines from day one.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain fast, reliable CI/CD pipelines to support frequent releases
• Stand up and evolve AWS-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation)
• Enable developer self-service and remove bottlenecks by partnering with engineers
• Support and maintain containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes with a pragmatic approach
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to improve visibility and reliability
• Contribute to security-first pipelines, including vulnerability scanning and guardrails
• Participate in incident response, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement
• Document standards, patterns, and lessons learned as the platform matures

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
• Hands-on AWS experience (e.g., EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, IAM)
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Experience with containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar)
• Foundational understanding of networking, security, and system administration
• Ability to work in fast-moving, ambiguous environments

• Azure exposure
• Observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
• DevSecOps experience
• Cloud/DevOps certifications
