About the role
DevOps Engineer (Contractor) — Remote
Join YO IT Consulting’s candidate pool for upcoming DevOps opportunities supporting client teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure across cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Implement and streamline CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable deployments.
- Build and maintain containerized applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and Ansible.
- Monitor system health and performance with Prometheus and Grafana, plus centralized logging.
- Ensure secure access management and secrets handling using IAM and secrets management tools.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Strong Linux system administration and fundamental networking knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with DigitalOcean, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Knowledge of IAM, secrets management, and security best practices.
- Experience implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana) and logging tools.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in remote environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large-scale, distributed systems for diverse clients/industries.
- Advanced automation/configuration management and cloud-native security experience.
- Exposure to microservices and Agile delivery methodologies.
