DevOps Engineer - Remote

Role overview

Join YO IT Consulting as a DevOps Engineer (Remote - US). You will design, implement, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on production reliability, automation, and security for high-traffic systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Own end-to-end cloud infrastructure and resolve real production issues to ensure high availability
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/CDK
• Drive cost optimization and monitor resource utilization across AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Champion DevSecOps practices (container security, API protection, secrets management)
• Build and maintain observability (logging, metrics, alerting, rapid debugging)
• Mentor and set technical standards for upcoming DevOps hires

Requirements

• 5+ years of DevOps experience with strong AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker expertise
• Deep knowledge of DevSecOps tooling, including Jenkins, Terraform, Git/version control, and containerization
• Hands-on experience with large-scale, high-availability production environments and real-time issue resolution
• Strong DevOps automation and zero-downtime deployment practices (Terraform, GitHub Actions)
• Proficiency in infrastructure security: IAM, secrets management, network security, API protection
• AWS services experience: RDS, S3, Lambda, EC2, ECS, API Gateway, WAF; exposure to GCP/Azure in multi-cloud setups
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and documentation

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with security platforms such as Prisma Cloud, SIEM, CrowdStrike, or similar
• Familiarity with API and container security in cloud-native environments
• Demonstrated leadership/mentoring and guiding DevOps teams through infrastructure evolution
