DevOps Engineer - Remote

Role Overview

Join YO IT Consulting as a DevOps Engineer (Remote - US). You will architect, implement, and optimize scalable infrastructure across cloud environments, with a focus on production reliability, automation, and security for high-traffic systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Own end-to-end cloud infrastructure and handle real production issues to ensure high availability
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/CDK
• Drive cost optimization and monitor resource utilization across multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Champion DevSecOps practices, including container security, API protection, and secrets management
• Develop and maintain observability (logging, metrics, alerting) and support rapid debugging
• Mentor and set standards for upcoming DevOps hires

Requirements

• 5+ years of DevOps experience with strong AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker expertise
• Deep knowledge of DevSecOps tooling and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform, Git, containerization)
• Hands-on experience with large-scale, high-availability production environments and real-time incident resolution
• Solid understanding of DevOps automation and zero-downtime deployments
• Strong infrastructure security skills: IAM, secrets management, network security, API protection
• AWS service experience: RDS, S3, Lambda, EC2, ECS, API Gateway, WAF; exposure to GCP/Azure in multi-cloud setups
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with security platforms such as Prisma Cloud or CrowdStrike (or similar)
• Familiarity with API and container security in cloud-native environments
• Proven leadership in mentoring or guiding DevOps teams
