DevOps Engineer - Remote

Role Overview

Join YO IT Consulting as a DevOps Engineer (Remote - US). You will architect, implement, and optimize scalable infrastructure across cloud environments, with a strong focus on production reliability, automation, and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Own end-to-end cloud infrastructure and resolve real production issues to ensure high availability
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions plus Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK)
• Drive cost optimization and monitor resource utilization across AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Champion DevSecOps practices (container security, API protection, secret management)
• Build and maintain observability (logging, metrics, alerting, and fast debugging)
• Mentor and set standards for future DevOps hires

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps roles with strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Deep knowledge of DevSecOps toolsets including Jenkins, Terraform, Git/version control, and containerization
• Hands-on experience with large-scale, high-availability production environments and real-time issue resolution
• Strong understanding of DevOps automation and zero-downtime deployment best practices
• Proficiency in infrastructure security: IAM, secrets management, network security, and API protection
• Experience with AWS services including RDS, S3, Lambda, EC2, ECS, API Gateway, WAF; exposure to GCP/Azure in multi-cloud setups
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with security platforms such as Prisma Cloud, SIEM, CrowdStrike, or similar tools
• Familiarity with API and container security in cloud-native environments
• Proven leadership in mentoring and guiding DevOps teams
