DevOps Engineer - Remote

Role Overview

Join YO IT Consulting as a DevOps Engineer (Remote - US). You will architect, implement, and optimize scalable, secure infrastructure across cloud environments, improving production reliability through automation, observability, and DevSecOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Own end-to-end cloud infrastructure and resolve real production issues to ensure high system availability.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/CDK.
• Drive cost optimization and monitor resource utilization across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Apply DevSecOps best practices, including:
  • container security
  • API protection
  • secret management
• Build and maintain observability (logging, metrics, alerting) and support rapid debugging.
• Mentor and help set standards for new DevOps hires, fostering technical excellence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps experience with strong AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Deep DevSecOps toolkit knowledge including Jenkins, Terraform, Git/version control, and containerization.
• Hands-on experience operating large-scale, high-availability production systems with real-time issue resolution.
• Strong DevOps automation and deployment practices, including Terraform and GitHub Actions, with zero-downtime mindset.
• Infrastructure security proficiency: IAM, secrets management, network security, and API protection.
• Experience with AWS services: RDS, S3, Lambda, EC2, ECS, API Gateway, WAF; exposure to GCP/Azure in multi-cloud environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with security platforms such as Prisma Cloud, SIEM, CrowdStrike, or similar.
• Familiarity with API and container security in cloud-native environments.
• Proven leadership in mentoring and guiding DevOps teams.
