DevOps Engineer - Remote, US

Role Overview

Bowman is hiring a Remote US DevOps Engineer to support secure and reliable application delivery in a Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)-aligned landing zone. You’ll collaborate with development, security, and engineering teams to build automation, improve reliability/observability, and help own and evolve platform standards in an enterprise cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Determine execution approach for DevOps/cloud delivery work within established architectural guardrails.
• Collaborate with IT, development, and business stakeholders to implement and enhance infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and the supporting infrastructure for reliable application delivery.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate infrastructure and application deployments in a governed enterprise cloud environment.
• Embed DevOps practices across the solution lifecycle to ensure systems are secure and maintainable from build to production.
• Enable operational teams with automated monitoring, alerting, and incident response support; assist in diagnosis and resolution of cloud/application issues.
• Support cloud migration, modernization, and digital transformation by designing automated build/test/deploy/ops workflows aligned to CAF.
• Ensure deployments comply with enterprise architecture standards, security controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Improve performance, reliability, and availability through monitoring, alerting, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Implement cost visibility and usage monitoring to support cloud financial management.
• Stay current on cloud services and DevOps tools; evaluate and apply improvements to increase delivery and operational maturity.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently while executing against broad objectives aligned to DevOps and cloud delivery initiatives.

• Technical depth and demonstrated contribution to evolving DevOps standards and cloud engineering practices.
• Experience with enterprise governance/architecture guardrails and compliance-driven deployment workflows.
