DevOps Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

DevOps Engineer supporting and scaling a data platform built on AWS and Databricks. The role emphasizes infrastructure automation, CI/CD, environment management, and enabling rapid, secure delivery of data pipelines, analytics, and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Automate and manage infrastructure for AWS + Databricks data platform
• Implement CI/CD and support secure, repeatable deployments of data pipelines and analytics
• Manage development/test environments and provisioning workflows
• Provision and automate Databricks resources and deployments
• Apply DevOps best practices for reliability, security, and operational excellence
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform and deployment issues

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps/platform automation or related engineering roles
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript
• Strong knowledge of Git workflows and branching strategies
• Experience with Pulumi and/or Terraform for cloud/data platform automation
• Solid understanding of AWS services including IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, QuickSight (and others)
• Experience provisioning and managing Databricks resources and automating deployments
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Containerization/orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• Data services: AWS Glue, Redshift, or similar
• Monitoring/logging tools such as Datadog or Prometheus

Work Details

• Full-time, 40 hours/week

• Bonus/incentive eligibility in addition to base pay range
