About the role
Role Overview
Crossing Hurdles is hiring a DevOps Engineer for an hourly contract role with remote work (10–40 hours/week). You’ll design, automate, and operate cloud-native infrastructure, partnering closely with development teams to enable continuous integration and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS and Kubernetes
- Automate deployment pipelines, monitoring, and configuration management
- Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve bottlenecks or outages
- Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure
- Document processes and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues
Requirements
- Strong experience with DevOps practices and cloud-native infrastructure
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes
- Strong experience with AWS services and cloud architecture
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Strong problem-solving and incident management skills
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
