About the role

Role overview

Join Palo Alto Networks as a DevOps Engineer to lead the evolution of its Multi-Cloud Platform, building a cloud-native, intelligent, and hyper-scalable ecosystem. The role emphasizes production environment strategy and management across GCP, and also AWS and Azure, with an emphasis on reliability, automation, and cross-cloud resilience.

Responsibilities

Drive the evolution of a multi-cloud production platform with architectural consistency and resilience across GCP/AWS/Azure
Design and implement self-healing infrastructure and operating guardrails
Build and oversee sophisticated CI/CD pipelines
Manage and operate multi-tenant cloud environments
Develop AI-driven workflows using Google Vertex AI and LLMs to automate environment staging, documentation generation, and user support
Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration by translating platform metrics into value for leadership
Perform root-cause analyses and document designs as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Requirements

Solid understanding of LLMOps and AI automation pipelines; experience integrating Vertex AI and/or OpenAI into production DevOps workflows, including prompt management and model iteration
Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills using Terraform and/or Ansible
High-level networking and infrastructure design experience: global load balancing, Cloud Armor, cloud interconnects, and cross-cloud VPN architectures
Ability to troubleshoot complex, deep-stack platform issues
Scripting and automation background using Python or Go for custom agents, CLIs, and operational tools
Data/analytics fundamentals; experience using BigQuery to collect and refine infrastructure telemetry for ML
Strong cloud administration experience across public providers, especially GCP, including GKE, Cloud Run, and VPC Service Controls, plus enterprise workloads on AWS and Azure
Project tracking and documentation skills using tools such as Jira and Confluence (including turning technical work into prioritized execution)

Nice to have

Experience implementing metrics-driven canary deployments and progressive delivery in container orchestration clusters
Experience with policy-as-code for zero-trust compliance
Relevant cloud certifications across GCP/AWS/Azure
