About the role

DevOps Engineer (Remote - US only)

Join micro1 as a pivotal DevOps Engineer to architect, implement, and optimize scalable infrastructure across dynamic cloud environments. You’ll help drive production reliability, automation, and security for high-traffic systems.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
Own end-to-end cloud infrastructure and respond to real production issues to ensure high availability
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK)
Lead cloud cost optimization and monitor resource utilization across AWS, GCP, and Azure
Apply DevSecOps best practices (container security, API protection, secret management)
Implement and maintain observability (logging, metrics, alerting) and rapid debugging
Mentor and set technical standards for upcoming DevOps hires

Requirements

5+ years in DevOps roles with strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
Deep knowledge of DevSecOps tooling (notably Jenkins, Terraform, Git, and containerization)
Hands-on experience with large-scale, high-availability production environments and real-time issue resolution
Strong DevOps automation and best practices for zero-downtime deployments
Proficiency in infrastructure security: IAM, secrets management, network security, and API protection
Experience with AWS services: RDS, S3, Lambda, EC2, ECS, API Gateway, WAF; exposure to GCP/Azure in multi-cloud setups
Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Security platform experience (e.g., Prisma Cloud, SIEM, CrowdStrike, or similar)
Familiarity with API and container security in cloud-native environments
Demonstrated leadership through mentoring or guiding DevOps teams
