About the role

Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer, you will own delivery platforms and help shape technical direction across teams and clients. The role combines hands-on engineering with leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement in agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and improvement of CI/CD platforms and workflows
Own complex technical problems from discovery through to solution
Define and promote engineering standards and best practices
Design Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for cloud and hybrid platforms
Provide technical leadership within delivery teams
Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
Review designs, code, and pipelines

Requirements / Profile

Familiarity with macOS for engineering workflows
Strong experience with Linux
Strong experience designing and running CI/CD pipelines
Comfortable with additional scripting/languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Go
Knowledge of DNS, firewalls, and routing
Working knowledge of identity, networking, and security in cloud platforms
Understanding of hybrid/multi-cloud architectures
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Proven leadership by influence (lead without title)
Ownership and accountability mindset

AWS
Terraform (HCL) in production environments
Azure
GCP
Python for automation and tooling
Windows Server experience
VMware (vSphere/ESXi or similar)
Git-based workflows and deep understanding of Git
TCP/IP, load balancing
Experience with data centre/physical infrastructure
Ability to balance delivery with longer-term improvement
