About the role
Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer at InEight, you’ll partner with software engineering and product teams to deploy, operate, and improve systems. You’ll automate operations to maximize efficiency, build tooling for deployment/monitoring, and help troubleshoot issues in both internal and customer environments.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and support applications in Azure using IaaS and PaaS services
- Identify and reduce issues by designing, testing, and implementing software-based solutions
- Improve service delivery by driving efficiencies, root cause analysis, and increasing maturity and scalability
- Practice sustainable incident response and run blameless postmortems
- Adhere to security policies and enforce proper access controls to data
- Maintain documentation for IT processes, automation, trouble tickets, network configurations, inventory, and audit requests
- Perform systems monitoring and handle alert remediation
- Participate in off-hours/on-call rotation as needed
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in IT (or related)
- 6+ years experience in a software development environment
- 4+ years experience in Azure or AWS
- 4+ years scripting experience
- 3+ years experience with Azure DevOps
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related (preferred)
- Ability to guide less experienced team members and communicate effectively
- Willingness to support 24/7 via on-call rotation
- Familiarity with automation concepts
