DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

The DevOps Engineer partners with software engineering and product teams to deploy, operate, and improve systems. You will automate operations and streamline processes to maximize efficiency, while also building tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations and resolving issues in internal and customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support applications in Azure using IaaS and PaaS services
• Proactively identify and reduce issues by designing, testing, and implementing software-based solutions
• Drive efficiencies through software improvements and root cause analysis to improve service delivery, maturity, and scalability
• Practice sustainable incident response and run blameless postmortems
• Follow company security policies and manage data access controls
• Maintain documentation for IT processes, automation, trouble tickets, network configurations, hardware/software inventory, and audit requests
• Perform systems monitoring and handle alert remediation
• Participate in off-hours/on-call support as required

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in the IT field or related discipline
• 6+ years experience in a software development environment
• 4+ years experience working in Azure or AWS
• 4+ years scripting experience
• 3+ years experience with Azure DevOps
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (preferred)
• Ability to mentor less experienced team members and communicate effectively
• Willingness to join an on-call rotation for 24/7 support
• Familiar with automation concepts
