DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with software engineering and product teams to deploy and operate systems. You will focus on automating and streamlining operations to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support applications in Azure using IaaS and PaaS services.
• Proactively identify and reduce issues by designing, testing, and implementing software-based solutions.
• Drive operational efficiency through software improvement and root cause analysis to improve service delivery and scalability.
• Practice sustainable incident response and run blameless postmortems.
• Follow company security policies and manage access controls for data.
• Maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, automation, trouble tickets, network configurations, inventory, and audit requests.
• Perform systems monitoring and remediate alerts.
• Participate in off-hours/on-call support as required.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT experience (or related discipline).
• 6+ years working in a software development environment.
• 4+ years working in Azure or AWS.
• 4+ years scripting experience.
• 3+ years experience with Azure DevOps.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Ability to mentor less experienced team members and relay relevant information.
• Willingness to join an on-call rotation for 24/7 support.
• Familiarity with automation concepts.
