About the role

Role Overview

The DevOps Engineer II at RxBenefits helps manage and enhance the company’s DevOps infrastructure supporting development and operations. You will design, implement, and maintain AWS-enabled CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, and monitoring systems to improve deployment reliability, security, and uptime.

Responsibilities

Design and implement AWS-enabled CI/CD platforms for continuous integration and deployment
Collaborate with development teams to fully utilize CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
Manage deployments (updates, fixes, releases) with minimal downtime
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across testing and production, proactively preventing problems
Automate operational processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and security compliance
Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to improve DevOps practices
Coordinate with management, security, infrastructure, and development teams to align DevOps initiatives to business goals
Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, configurations, and infrastructure changes
Support planning and execution of infrastructure upgrades and migrations

Requirements

2+ years of experience in DevOps (or closely related field)
Strong AWS platform architecture knowledge and core AWS services
Strong Linux administration and infrastructure skills
Scripting experience for AWS infrastructure using Python, Bash, Ruby, or Perl
Hands-on experience with cloud automation tools such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation, and Ansible/Puppet/Chef
CI/CD tools experience: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, or ArgoCD
Containerization knowledge: Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon Container Services (e.g., ECS)
Understanding of microservice architectures and deployment strategies
Strong troubleshooting skills
Experience with Jira and workflow/project management tools
Excellent communication and documentation skills

Nice-to-haves

Knowledge of web servers such as Nginx, Apache HTTP Server, and Apache Tomcat
Ability to spread DevOps best practices across teams and advocate for continuous improvement
