About the role

Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer II, you’ll maintain and improve the organization’s DevOps infrastructure, ensuring reliable integration, deployment, and monitoring of applications. You’ll partner with Development, Infrastructure, and Security teams to build robust CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve operational processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Design and implement AWS-enabled CI/CD platforms to streamline deployments
Enable development teams to use CI/CD pipelines effectively
Evaluate and recommend DevOps tools/technologies to optimize workflows
Manage code deployment processes (fixes, updates, rollouts)
Collaborate across management, infrastructure, security, and development to align DevOps with business goals
Work with developers to maximize benefits from AWS services
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during testing and production to prevent disruptions
Automate operational processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and security compliance
Promote DevOps best practices, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing
Create and maintain detailed technical and process documentation
Participate in ongoing training and development

Requirements

2+ years of experience in DevOps or a closely related field
Proficiency with core AWS platform architecture
Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructure and Linux administration
Scripting skills to develop scripted AWS infrastructure
Experience with cloud automation tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation; plus tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Hands-on CI/CD experience with tools such as Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, ArgoCD, or GitHub Actions
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, Python, or Bash
Experience with web servers including Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, and/or Nginx
Understanding of microservices architectures
Experience with containerization such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Amazon ECS
Strong troubleshooting and proactive issue identification
Experience with workflow/project tools such as Jira
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice-to-haves

DevOps advocacy across teams and strong documentation/technical writing capability
