DevOps Engineer (Fully Remote)

Role overview

Build, automate, and maintain scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines to improve reliability and accelerate development. You will bridge development and operations by streamlining build/release workflows and strengthening monitoring, security, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability through monitoring and alerting
• Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline build and release processes
• Manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systems
• Apply security best practices and support compliance (e.g., SOC 2, ISO)
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues
• Continuously improve DevOps tools, processes, and workflows

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT (or equivalent experience)
• 3–7+ years in DevOps/SRE or related roles
• Strong experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
• Git version control experience

Nice to have

• DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer)
• Terraform or CloudFormation experience
• Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack
• DevSecOps practices
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Familiarity with serverless architectures
