DevOps Engineer (Fully Remote)
Role overview
Build, automate, and maintain scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines to improve reliability and accelerate development. You will bridge development and operations by streamlining build/release workflows and strengthening monitoring, security, and incident response.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines
- Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability through monitoring and alerting
- Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline build and release processes
- Manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systems
- Apply security best practices and support compliance (e.g., SOC 2, ISO)
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues
- Continuously improve DevOps tools, processes, and workflows
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT (or equivalent experience)
- 3–7+ years in DevOps/SRE or related roles
- Strong experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
- Git version control experience
Nice to have
- DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer)
- Terraform or CloudFormation experience
- Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack
- DevSecOps practices
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Familiarity with serverless architectures
