DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

DevOps Engineer (AWS) — Remote Own and improve application delivery by building scalable cloud environments, automating infrastructure and deployment processes, and ensuring reliable releases and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable cloud-hosted environments for application delivery
• Own build and release pipelines, ensuring consistent and reliable deployments
• Oversee application promotions across environments, including recovery and rollback planning
• Introduce automation across infrastructure and deployment processes using code-driven approaches
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize build, test, and release practices
• Investigate and resolve issues across environments, including pipeline failures and live production incidents
• Contribute to monitoring, alerting, and ongoing service reliability improvements
• Apply and enforce security considerations across systems and delivery pipelines

Requirements

• Background working with Linux-based systems in enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms: AWS and/or Azure
• Practical experience delivering/managing applications in distributed environments
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python and shell scripting)
• Experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals and system connectivity
• Experience applying controlled release strategies in production
• Strong problem-solving skills across systems, automation pipelines, and applications
