About the role
Role Overview
Own the reliability, scalability, and security of production infrastructure supporting high-traffic distributed systems and microservices. Work closely with software engineering and product teams to automate deployments, optimize cloud resources, and maintain zero-downtime reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Terragrunt)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD for safe, seamless deployments
- Implement observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and ELK to detect anomalies early
- Operate production Kubernetes clusters, including automated scaling, service meshes, and container security hardening
- Participate in on-call rotations: incident management, triage, and blameless root cause analysis
- Enforce security and compliance: IAM policies, identity/access controls, and security best practices across cloud environments
Requirements
- 3–6 years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes (containerization and orchestration)
- Hands-on Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Deep working knowledge of Linux administration and networking/security fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, VPN)
Bonus / Nice to Have
- Experience with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd)
- FinOps / cloud cost optimization experience
- Active AWS and/or Kubernetes certifications
