About the role
Role Overview
DevOps Engineer (Docker) working on Docker-based environments for scalable AI training workloads. This is a remote contract role (~10–40 hours/week).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Docker-based environments for AI training workloads
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency and reliability
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers and developers to containerize applications and streamline workflows
- Troubleshoot Docker environment issues in development and production
- Monitor and improve containerized systems for performance, scalability, and security
- Document technical processes and communicate best practices across teams
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Experience containerizing and managing environments with Docker
- Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with modern tools
- Strong DevOps understanding and container lifecycle management
- Experience supporting AI / machine learning workflows via containerization
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team environment
