About the role
Role Overview
DevOps Engineer focused on decentralized identity solutions within the blockchain domain. You will design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, working closely with developers, architects, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management
- Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes clusters on AWS (EKS or self-managed)
- Build scalable, cost-efficient infrastructure
- CI/CD Pipelines
- Create and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment
- Package software in reproducible and auditable ways
- Monitoring and Logging
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging
- Proactively troubleshoot and ensure ongoing system health
- Security and Compliance
- Apply security best practices including secrets management and access controls
- Ensure compliance with industry standards
- Automate vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows
- Automation and Scripting
- Build Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) with Terraform/Terragrunt, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
- Automate operations using Python, Bash, or Go
- Collaboration
- Partner with development, QA, and security teams to integrate testing and compliance checks into pipelines
- Technical Expertise / Best Practices
- Support GitOps-style delivery and strong CI/CD tool understanding
- Work with containerization and Kubernetes tooling (including Helm)
Requirements
- 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and deploying/scaling/managing containerized apps
- Proven production experience on Kubernetes + AWS
- Strong CI/CD and GitOps understanding; familiarity with GitHub Actions
- Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- AWS services experience: IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, SSM, KMS, ALB, ElastiCache, Lambda, Route 53 (R53), CloudFront, etc.
- Monitoring/troubleshooting experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, AWS CloudWatch
- Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and network configurations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience maintaining blockchain nodes (block-producing a plus)
- Familiarity with service meshes (e.g., Istio, Ambassador, Linkerd)
- Knowledge of event-based and serverless architectures (hosted/self-hosted)
- Familiarity with hybrid or multi-cloud environments
- Secrets management tooling (e.g., Vault)
- Experience with tools like Argo CD / Flux / Tekton, Terragrunt, Podman, Earthly, Keycloak, and (ha) PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with HTTP/proxy servers (Apache/Nginx)
- Certifications: AWS (DevOps Engineer/Solutions Architect) and Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)
