About the role

Role Overview

Join Covent IT’s growing outsourcing team as a DevOps Engineer (contract). You’ll help clients build robust, scalable infrastructure with a focus on automation, monitoring, and reliable operations.

Responsibilities

Support projects and monitoring: ensure stable operation and active monitoring of client/company projects; collaborate with clients and Technical Leads (TLs).
Develop internal services: build and implement services for monitoring, backups, and Continuous Integration (CI).

Requirements

3+ years of commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer or Linux System Administrator.
Cloud experience with AWS and DigitalOcean.
Strong nix system administration (e.g., CentOS, Debian, FreeBSD).
Hands-on administration of core services: FTP, SSH, SMTP, IMAP.
Automation scripting basics: PHP, SQL, and Shell scripting.
Ability to configure and manage LAMP environments.
Monitoring experience with Zabbix, Nagios, and Munin.
Practical knowledge with Kubernetes, Ansible, Docker, GitLab, and Jenkins.
Proficient English reading skills for technical documentation.
