Role Overview
DevOps Engineer to support Eastern Time Zone coverage (7am–3pm ET). You will extend and maintain an automated infrastructure-as-code DevOps practice for an analytics platform operating in a SOC 2 environment, partnering with Data Engineering and Software Engineering under the Director of DevOps, Infrastructure, and Security and the company’s Chief Agentic & Technology Officer.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform): Build and maintain automated infrastructure workflows, including IAM, EKS, EMR, Lambda, S3, KMS, RDS, and security groups; manage modules, remote state, and drift.
- CI/CD (GitLab): Own and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, security scanning, and safe/staged promotion with rollback.
- Kubernetes (EKS/Helm): Manage EKS Kubernetes deployments using Helm, including GitLab runners with KEDA.
- AI/Agentic Workloads: Support Bedrock AgentCore runtimes, gateways, memory, identity; MCP servers; agent deployment and observability.
- AWS Bedrock Access: Provision/manage Bedrock access with least-privilege IAM, model enablement, and cost/usage monitoring.
- SOC 2 Controls & Access Management: Handle access management and change requests with least privilege and auditability (avoid console drift).
- Data pipelines & Ops: Operate Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and SFTP data pipelines; contribute to cost optimization and AI-assisted DevOps automation (agent skills, runbooks, self-service tooling).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Deep experience with AWS core services (IAM, VPC/networking, EC2, S3, EKS/ECS).
- Strong operating knowledge of Terraform (modules, remote state, reading plans, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes + Helm and GitLab CI (or equivalent).
- Change-safety mindset and ability to operate under SOC 2 compliance controls.
- Some exposure to LLM/AI tooling; agent workflows or MCP frameworks required (Bedrock is a plus).
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience building agentic systems (preferred, not required).
What We Offer
- Fully remote role with 7am–3pm ET coverage and flexible/unlimited PTO.
- Competitive compensation and generous benefits (including 401k company match).
