About the role

Role Overview

DevOps Engineer focused on improving the efficiency of development and operations teams. You will design and build tooling that reduces complexity, improves reliability and cost efficiency, and streamlines workflows across hosted infrastructure and internally built applications.

Responsibilities

Improve and maintain CI/CD pipeline tooling for development teams
Collaborate with development teams to align on common goals
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
Use Infrastructure as Code to build tools for deploying infrastructure to development environments
Containerize applications to improve deployments and resilience
Partner with development and QA to streamline and improve workflows
Ensure infrastructure can scale dynamically and recover from disaster scenarios
Respond to service issues and operational requests in a timely manner
Support security practices (security benchmarking) and operational reliability
Manage development resources and access controls
Build internal tooling and self-service solutions to improve operational efficiency
Perform occasional after-hours support

Requirements

4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent
2 years’ experience in a DevOps position
3 years’ experience in Software Engineering
2 years’ experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience running Kubernetes / EKS in production
Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Bash, Python, or Go (Golang) (Go preferred)
Familiarity with CI tools: CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab
Professional experience with configuration management tools: Ansible, Puppet, Chef
Strong knowledge of an orchestrator/IaC tool: Terraform or CloudFormation
Experience with Git
Experience with monitoring/APM/logging and infrastructure
Brief experience with MySQL

Nice to Have / Preferred

Go (Golang) preferred
Remote-first with option to work hybrid from a company office
