About the role

Role Overview

DevOps Engineer (Remote, United States). Full-time/contract. Early-career candidates and recent graduates are welcome to build hands-on experience across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and application deployment.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps
Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or GCP
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
Monitor performance, availability, and security
Deploy and manage containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes
Troubleshoot deployment, networking, and infrastructure issues
Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
Collaborate with Development, QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
Support Linux and Windows server administration tasks

Required Skills

Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch) OR Azure (VMs, Azure AD, AKS, Monitor) OR GCP
DevOps/CI-CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
Containerization/Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
Scripting: Python, Bash/Shell; PowerShell (preferred)
OS: Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL/CentOS), Windows Server
Version control: Git (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket)

Preferred Qualifications / Nice to Haves

BS/MS in CS/IT or related field
Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, load balancers)
Monitoring tools exposure: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
AWS/Azure certifications
Kubernetes administration; ArgoCD, Istio, Kafka, Nginx, SonarQube, Nexus Repository, HashiCorp Vault
