DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

The DevOps Engineer supports and enhances the engineering infrastructure, secure engineering operations, and internal development tooling. You will automate engineering workflows, maintain cloud-based infrastructure, and help improve product delivery through stronger CI/CD and operational practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD workflows and automation frameworks for both on-prem and public cloud environments.
• Implement CI/CD, release automation, and build security best practices, aligned with IT, security, and enterprise standards.
• Improve deployment speed, release reliability, and service operations via automation, pipeline quality improvements, and observability.
• Develop and maintain public cloud infrastructure solutions, including automated VM deployment and ongoing support.
• Monitor and optimize build systems for performance, security, scalability, and automation.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues across development, QA, staging, and production with Engineering, QA, and IT.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Strong CI/CD knowledge with hands-on experience building pipelines using GitHub and/or ADO (Azure DevOps).
• 5–7 years experience in DevOps/infrastructure engineering (or similar).
• Experience supporting container-based solutions with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure PaaS/SaaS services (compute, networking, storage, containers, identity management).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Knowledge of public/private cloud security best practices.
• Proficiency in PowerShell (or similar scripting languages) for automation and system management.
• Experience in Lean/Agile development environments.

• Remote work flexibility is offered, with a preference for candidates located near Rochester, NY for increased in-person collaboration.
