DevOps Engineer

Role overview

Avahi is hiring an AWS DevOps Engineer to architect, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure. You will lead AWS migration and modernization efforts, improve delivery processes, and help shape DevOps practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and efficient AWS infrastructure
• Own end-to-end AWS migration from legacy systems to modern cloud solutions
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define DevOps best practices, automation strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
• Architect and optimize deployment strategies for high availability, fault tolerance, and performance
• Create internal workflows/processes to streamline collaboration between development, operations, and other teams
• Implement and manage containerization using Kubernetes and Docker
• Automate delivery using CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodeSuite, and CircleCI
• Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles (reliability, security, efficiency, cost)
• Stay current with trends in Data, ML, and AI and apply relevant learnings
• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing

Requirements

• AWS Professional and specialty certifications (a plus)
• Strong hands-on AWS experience with EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, EKS, ECS (and similar services)
• Proven experience delivering AWS migration and modernization projects
• Solid DevOps experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD
• Experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, AWS CodeSuite, CircleCI
• Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills; hands-on with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Experience with AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
