DevOps Engineer (Remote)

ArcheSys Inc is seeking a mid to senior-level DevOps Engineer to strengthen end-to-end delivery and operational capabilities across CI/CD automation, build & release engineering, container security, AWS enablement, and reliability tooling.

Responsibilities

• CI/CD & Integration

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, including shared libraries/reusable modules.
  • Automate workflows for build, test, security scanning, artifact publishing, and deployment, including environment promotion strategies.
  • Integrate CI/CD with GitHub (branching strategy, PR checks, release tagging) and enforce standards via templates/guardrails.
  • Implement and maintain semantic versioning for pipelines, artifacts, and container images.

• Containerization & Secure “Gold Images”

  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve Docker minimal/hardened/patched base gold images used across teams.
  • Apply container security and hygiene best practices (least privilege, dependency pinning, secure defaults, SBOM awareness).
  • Define an image lifecycle model (build → scan → sign/promote → deprecate) and automate patch/rebuild workflows.

• Artifact Management & Supply Chain Security

  • Manage artifact workflows in JFrog Artifactory (repository structure, promotion, retention, access control).
  • Partner with teams to remediate security findings and improve supply chain posture.
  • Use Docker Templates to automate deployment of updated gold images.

• AWS Infrastructure Automation & Operations

  • Develop automation for AWS services including RDS, Glue, and QuickSight.
  • Build and maintain Python tooling to automate validations, deployments, reporting workflows, and cloud operations.
  • Improve reliability and repeatability via automated provisioning patterns and standardized configurations.
  • Build and deploy AWS resources using Terraform and deployment via CI/CD pipelines.

• Quality Gates, Security Controls, and Observability

  • Operationalize SonarQube quality gates in CI/CD (coverage thresholds, code smells, vulnerability checks).
  • Support observability through Grafana (dashboards/alerts) and optionally Datadog/New Relic.
  • Collaborate with engineers/SRE to reduce toil, improve incident readiness, and standardize runbooks.

Requirements

• Mid to senior DevOps experience delivering and operating CI/CD and cloud automation.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub, and secure delivery practices (including scanning and artifact/version traceability).
• Experience building and operating secure container base images and container lifecycle processes.
• Experience with AWS and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to build Python-based automation to reduce toil and standardize workflows.
• Experience integrating quality and security controls (e.g., SonarQube and supply chain tooling).
• Public Trust clearance (or ability to obtain).

Nice-to-haves / Preferred

• Experience with JFrog Artifactory/Xray and supply chain security remediation.
• Experience with Terraform for AWS resource provisioning.
• Experience with Grafana and optionally Datadog/New Relic.

• Must have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years and be authorized to work in the U.S. (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD).
