About the role

Role Overview

The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure and DevOps processes. You will collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to enable reliable deployments, automate workflows, and improve observability for Rocky OS-based, AWS-hosted, and on-premises solutions.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Environment Management
- Support deployment and maintenance of scalable infrastructure in AWS and hybrid cloud environments
- Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
- Maintain Linux-based environments
- Contribute to containerization efforts with Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes
AI & Agent Infrastructure
- Design, deploy, and manage AI agent workloads (compute provisioning and resource scaling for inference)
- Build and maintain model deployment pipelines (versioning, testing, rollback)
- Monitor AI API consumption and infrastructure costs, adding alerting/controls to prevent runaway usage
- Implement security guardrails for AI systems (access controls, data isolation for inputs/outputs)
Observability & Reliability
- Implement monitoring/observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
- Troubleshoot production issues and support incident response and root cause analysis
- Improve reliability, performance, and uptime
CI/CD & Automation
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket CI/CD)
- Automate routine operational tasks (builds, testing, deployments, updates)
- Integrate pipelines with Akkadian tools
Security & Compliance
- Follow secure DevOps practices and implement security controls
- Support compliance initiatives and vulnerability remediation
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work with DevOps, engineering, QA, and product teams on releases
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and operational procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or a related role
Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, ECS, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch)
Working knowledge of Linux
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
Basic-to-intermediate scripting in Python or Bash
Experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
Understanding of secure DevOps practices and basic compliance concepts
