DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

Akkadian Labs is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure and DevOps processes. You’ll partner with development, QA, and product teams to enable reliable deployments, automate workflows, and improve observability across Rocky OS-based, AWS-hosted, and on-premises solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Environment Management

• Support deployment and maintenance of scalable infrastructure in AWS and hybrid cloud environments
• Manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
• Maintain Linux-based environments
• Contribute to containerization with Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes

AI and Agent Infrastructure

• Design, deploy, and manage AI agent workloads
• Provision compute and manage resource scaling for inference-heavy tasks
• Build and maintain AI model deployment pipelines (versioning, testing, rollback)
• Monitor AI API consumption and infrastructure costs; implement alerting/controls for budget visibility
• Implement infrastructure-level security guardrails for AI (access controls, data isolation)

Observability & Reliability

• Lead monitoring/observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack
• Troubleshoot incidents, support incident response, and contribute to root cause analysis
• Improve reliability, performance, and uptime

CI/CD & Automation

• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket CI/CD, or similar
• Automate operational tasks (builds, testing, deployments, system updates)
• Integrate pipelines with Akkadian Labs’ tooling

Security & Compliance

• Follow secure DevOps practices and help implement security controls
• Support compliance initiatives and vulnerability remediation

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with DevOps, engineering, QA, and product teams on releases
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and operating procedures
• Participate in team ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related role
• Hands-on AWS experience (e.g., EC2, ECS, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch)
• Working knowledge of Linux
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Basic to intermediate scripting (truncated in provided text)
