About the role

Role Overview

DevOps Engineer (contract, remote) collaborating with development, operations, and project teams to streamline software delivery and infrastructure management.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Oversee system administration for Linux-based environments
Monitor and optimize application performance
Improve deployment reliability and end-to-end automation across the software lifecycle
Contribute to security best practices, documentation, and cross-functional communication

Requirements

Strong IaC experience (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
Software development practices with scripting/programming in Python, Java, or Go
Hands-on CI/CD experience using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent
Linux systems administration experience (monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
Infrastructure security best practices
Ability to work independently in a remote setup and collaborate with distributed teams

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
