Role Overview

Senior DevOps Engineer (80%-100%) for Bern, Switzerland with remote working options. You’ll help ensure stable, secure, and highly available operations for complex application environments while influencing technical direction in a collaborative, transformation-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable, secure, and highly available operation of complex application environments
• Design and implement deployment and release strategies using GitOps principles
• Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
• Collaborate with software engineers on system architecture and platform integration
• Develop and manage scalable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
• Strengthen observability, monitoring, and overall operational excellence across environments

Required / Core Skills

• Strong DevOps background with hands-on ownership of production-grade environments
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and cloud-native operations
• Experience with GitOps-based delivery
• Ability to build and manage CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Operational excellence mindset: security, reliability, monitoring

Nice to Have

• Hands-on Kubernetes operations in production
• Experience with Docker, Helm, and Argo CD
• Experience building/managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Spring Boot
• Experience in large-scale or complex programme environments
