About the role
Role Overview
Contract, part-time Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer (Remote, 10–40 hrs/week) at Crossing Hurdles. You will own infrastructure design and operations across cloud and on-premises environments, with a strong focus on automation, security, and uptime.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Monitor system and network performance, proactively identify issues, and maintain maximum uptime.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Implement and maintain security practices and compliance standards across environments.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments.
- Produce thorough documentation and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Expert-level experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong background in networking, storage, and virtualization.
- Proficient with automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Deep understanding of containers and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes and Docker).
- Advanced troubleshooting and incident response capabilities.
